Ballynacally Community Centre reopened to the public on Thursday 19th Dec in time for Primary School Christmas Concert.
The Development Committee appreciate that these works were made possible by you the public with the help of local Buisiness's supporting our fundraising initiative 2013 and we would sincerly like to thank you.
Such events as the Sale of work, 4 Mile Fun Run, Tractor Run, Motorcycle Run, Spring Clean Collection, GAA pub quiz, Sharon Shannon Concert, apostolic society display, Bingo Night all played their part.
We thank the contractors for turning out the work they did at keen rates with the understanding that it was a community project with limited funds & time frame , to the volunteers who turned up night after night and gave a lot of there time and effort to reduce costs and keep project on target. Sharon Shannon Concert
We were delighted and honoured to announce that the amazing and very talented Sharon Shannon played a special one-off concert in Ballycorick Church, Ballynacally, Co. Clare on Sunday July 21st 2013 at 8pm. Accompanied by multi instrumentalist Alan Connor, the concert is in aid of Ballynacally Development Associations Fundraising initiative 2013 to reopen our Community Centre."
Sharon who has achieved worldwide fame and is renowned globally says she is honoured to be asked to play in the village in which her mother Mary (Garry) of Burren Ballynacally grew up . Sharon, the multi platinum selling artiste and former Clare person of the year, said she was looking forward to a great night in Ballynacally. The church has a capacity of 400 and tickets were sold at a cost of €20. These Tickets were sold by local retail outlets and Development Association officers ...
